2006 Events
M:.W:.
Richard Lynn, past Grand Master of the state of Florida, visited our
lodge on January 18, 2006. He discussed the idea of forming a
chapter of De Molay, which created a good deal of interest.
Basically the boys are the ones who make all the decisions and run
the chapter, with guidance from an adult body. We need volunteers to
help out with the chapter - the more people we have involved the
better (it will lighten the load). No prior experience is required.
The bears on patrol is in need of teddy bears to
donate to our local law enforcement and fire fighters, which are handed
to children when these bodies are called to stressful situations. This
is a good cause. Please see what you can do.

The
Lodge will be participating in the Delray Affair again this year.
See J.W. Rodrigo Himiob to sign up for a few hours of work and
fellowship.
W.: Bro. Brant Bayer
will be presenting a Presidential Program at the February 2nd
Meeting; it will be very interesting please attend.
Every Brother knows a
Brother who, for what ever reason, has not attended Lodge in a
while. Call him and bring your Brother to a meeting.
If you have any
potential candidates get their petitions in; I am planning an EA
degree for March 30th. Remember, it takes time to process
and investigate prospective members.
The budget was
introduced January 19th all that were present witness that the Lodge
is still operating at an extreme deficit. This deficit must stop! A
by-law change was introduced to move forward in this direction. The
finance committee is looking at investments that will produce a
higher rate of return than we are now getting. Finally the Lodge
needs the support and participation of every member at Lodge
functions and Affairs to keep from raising the dues every year.
Fraternally,
David M. Haycock
Worshipful Master
